.  Background:  . Born to a Hyuran father and a Vieran mother, into the bowels of a once all mighty clan of Satō-gumi. At age 16, a rival clan's leader, Ryuji Kinoshita, asked for Deva's hand, much like many other suitors, offering a unity between the two clans. And much like those suitors, Ryuji was also denied, for one, their clan lacked morals and principles that was the core tenets of Deva's clan. And thus, Ryuji usurped the clan, eliminating everyone they could get their hands on, anyone who was affiliated with Deva's parents. Taking Deva as a trophy, they made her watch as her parents were executed, and be mauled by beasts afterwards. Since then, Deva has been nothing but property of Kinoshita-kai, a slave, with nothing left.Nothing left to lose.
